Finding great connections in the business world can feel like mining for diamonds. We all know how important strong ties are for our professional success—and even for finding fulfillment in our careers—but making those connections through traditional networking is often like chipping into a mountain with a dull chisel.
6 x 6 (Six by Six) was founded on the simple idea that there’s a better way to break through the noise of big events and build the meaningful, peer-to-peer connections we’re all searching for. It all started with six marketing leaders meeting at SoHo Portland at 6:00 PM to share skills, insights, and the occasional struggle, surrounded by colleagues who genuinely wanted to help each other.
Today, we’ve grown beyond just the small dinner evenings to host a variety of events, but our focus on members-only, small-format gatherings remains at the core of what we do. We’re all about creating spaces where you can truly connect with others, exchange ideas, and find support in your journey.

Who should Join?
To ensure that our members are able to connect over deep common experience and shared problems sets, we have criteria for membership that include the following:
Marketing professionals, or other executives with some responsibility for marketing performance for your company.
Team leaders, director level or above with direct reports. Founders of their own companies are also welcome.
Be a brand based business, product and select services are welcome. We are not currently open to agencies or individual contractors.
Do not join if your intent is selling to other members. While members are allowed to conduct business, we are a strict non-pitch community.

To access members-only events, log in to your account on our website and navigate to the events section.(ABOVE) From there, you can view upcoming events and RSVP directly.
Events will also be sent directly to your provided email address with links to RSVP.

Most of our events have a maximum of 6 members, with occasional larger group experiences mixed in.
The goal of 6x6 is to create small format events which allow people to get through (typically repetitive) initial small talk and build genuine connection.

While your membership and sponsorship cover the cost of most events, some special events or workshops may require an additional fee. These will not be common and are clearly indicated when you RSVP.

While we do love bringing in new community members, priority for events will always go to existing members. In the case that an event is not full 48 hours prior to its start, the event attendees will be notified and may nominate individuals who fit membership criteria to attend.
